No need to buy store-bought with this sweet and spicy easy pineapple salsa. The perfect way to jazz up your salsa with a tropical twist. This will be your new favorite salsa recipe!
I’m kind of, just a little bit, okay completely entirely obsessed with this recipe. Not only is it my go-to salsa recipe, but all it really takes to get me salivating is a good 10 seconds staring at these pictures.
I’m just putting this out there, but these pictures just may be my favorite ones yet! I know I basically say that every week (minus the weeks when I’m totally off and want to chuck my camera out the window…), but I really mean it this time.
However, it’s not just the beauty of the image, but the people behind it that matter most.

As most of you know, this past year has meant some serious growing pains and amazing accomplishments for The Healthy Maven. It’s been hectic, and overwhelming and completely exhilarating watching my baby grow larger than me and honestly, a real privilege to be a part of the process.
It’s meant accepting that I cannot do it all, even if I wanted. It’s meant realizing that I’m doing a disservice to myself and to all of you by continuing to try to control every aspect of THM. It’s meant, opening up to the idea of letting others in.
Now, for a complete and total control-freak this is no easy task. But crazier things have happened and in the process I have welcomed the incomparable Jess to Team Maven, and now, my dear friend and insanely talented videographer Sahar.
Besides getting to share this delicious Pineapple Salsa with you, my job has become infinitely more fun since Sahar joined the team.
Whether we’re jamming out to Bieber or Drake while shooting, obsessing over the placement of a piece of cilantro or sharing our hearts over a bottle of green juice, Sahar is one of those people who I feel blessed to have in my life.
Our friendship was immediate. It took about as long as it did for me to put together this salsa. Which FYI, is about 5 minutes. She’s just one of those people who you meet and never let go.
Fortunately, I now get to see her even more often and create some photo and video magic in the kitchen. So today’s post is dedicated to my girl Sahar, who’s sweet, spicy and will make you want to come back for seconds!
